The staff were so helpful in planning our visit and making reservations at restaurants, tours and taxis for us. The breakfast was always excellent. We received a nice bottle of sparkling wine in honor of my husbands birthday. That was so unexpected and made us feel very special. The room was beautifully equipped.

Perfect location few mins to metro quiet and felt safe returning at night breakfast the best had for long time good choice plenty of options and all quality
Wait for ordering drinks and meal in restaurant as only the manager can take the order not the waiting staff also despite booking dinner when we arrived the male manager was on the phone and stayed on the phone quite a while and no apology when he did finally greet us the female restaurant manager the evening before was much more efficient and quickly took our order for drinks etc small matter but it did feel rude

Excellent hotel in a beautiful part of the city. We travelled to Lisbon for my wife's birthday and the hotel went above and beyond to make it special for her. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful with recommendations. It's around a 10-15minute walk into the tourist spots, but the walk is very pleasant and seems to pass really quickly. The hotel is situated next to lots of high end designer shops and fancy restaurants and the area feels very safe. The rooms and facilities are amazing - everything is so clean and the rooms are a good size. Could not recommend PortoBay Marqus any more highly!
The only improvement i could suggest would be to have bar staff at the rooftop bar during summer months. The bar is currently set up as an 'honesty' bar, so you take what you want and then complete a form and stick it in a box which gets collected. When we went there the stock was running low and there wasn't much selection. However, i understand that it may not make sense to have dedicated staff here during the quieter months.

The hotel was lovely and nice and cool which was very welcome as it was very hot outside. Lovely little pool on the roof with sunbathing area which was great after sight seeing for the day
