the location was good
The whole place, other than the pool was underwhelming for a supposed ***** Star hotel. We had a deluxe room but there was insufficient wardrobe space to hang our clothes up. We told there would be single beds but weren't prepared when we arrived. The shampoo/conditioner dispenses did not work. It took 9 minutes running the shower before we got hot water. The towels and bath robes looked old grey and definitely not *****. The bar drinks were the most expensive we found in Lisbon served by someone who did not know the difference between lime and lemon . The place had conventions most days which meant large areas of the common parts could not be accessed

This hotel is located very centrally in the old town, a few minutes walk to the beautiful main boulevard and it's luxury shops, and minutes to the main sights and destinations inside Lisbon, including the Castelo. The hotel features a sizeable outside pool with bar. The dining is excellent, and the breakfast courtyard and restaurant are lovely. Staff was very helpful during our stay and no request was too much.
There was nothing that we did not like about our stay here.

the front desk "free upgrade" our room into basement, I do not know what to say. in order to get to my room, from lobby, I ride first elevator into second floor, walk the long hall way, then ride another elevator down to first floor/ basement.

The location and the facilities were outstanding. The hotel standards exceeded our expectations and the room interiors were exquisite. It was exceptionally clean and was simply perfect, from bubbles and snacks on arrival to allowing us to use pool side facilities after our flight had been cancelled.
