Wonderful
Staff & Breakfast were great. Nice bar area and courtyard, lots of interesting art to look at. Felt like a very safe place to stay. Easy walk to local bars & cafes.
The hairdryer in the room was just a travel hairdryer. Getting to the far side of the bed was difficult.

Wonderful
Wonderful stay. Lovely staff and owners. Best coffee and breakfast was superb best weve had on this trip. It was nice to be able to have a drink in the quiet lounge after a big day sightseeing - the garden was lovely but bit cool when we were there. We loved the location right next door to a fabulous lookout. Lots of hills to climb and also lots of stairs in the hotel but we slept well.

Very Good
The staff were so welcoming and wonderful.
It is very off the beaten track. The stairs are a real problem for folks like us on their 70s. Very narrow and steep.

Wonderful
Great location in a less touristy part of Lisbon, although its still walkable to Alfama and St. Georges Fort. Stunning views of the city just steps from the front door. Its also a short walk from the route of the wonderful #28 tram which is a fun way to see the nooks and crannies of some of Lisbons older neighbourhoods. The bed was comfortable and though the room was compact, it was well designed to accommodate toiletries, suitcases etc. Breakfast was deliciousfruits, yogurt, muesli, jams, fresh squeezed OJ and eggs or pancakes made to order. Oh yes, and addictive just-baked bread. Staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful.
Not an issue for us but there is no lift so be ready to hoist your stuff up the stairs. My only disappointment was that breakfast doesnt start until 8. Id be ready by 7 most days.

This is a very cool hotel. You feel tucked away and off the main road. There is a garden/courtyard where you can sit and eat or chat. The breakfast was very nice, not heavy. The staff were all nice and helpful.
I really can't think of anything that I did not like.

Good
breakfast was excellent, i could order scrambled eggs w/ bacon, there was an assortiment of cheese, cold cuts, yogurt and fruits, bread and other yummy things.
there was no key to the entry door in the hotel, so we had to ring the doorbell at 2 am when we came from the night out in town. someone promptly came but it felt like there could be better options to deal w/ this.

Wonderful
Location is very good, with one of the great views near by. You can walk from here to many of the tourist locations, and for coming back you can take Uber (very cheap in Portugal), easier than climbing up the hills.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious.
The hotel is quite non-conformist, and we loved that.
I also appreciated the message we got from owner after reservation, with useful information.
The room was very small, but clean and quite enough if you are here for visiting. I never paid that much for such a small room on vacation, but from what I saw Lisbon accommodation got quite expensive lately.

Perfect location. Very friendly hotel, well-organized common area for guests. Pleasant garden with a seating area. The hosts and staff were very nice and helpful. Good value for money.
Some elements of my room and bathroom equipment are worn out - it would be ideal if they were refreshed.

Wonderful
The deco was just perfect, rooms were spotless and aircon was availble. The breakfast was great, with freshly made eggs upon your wish, fresh coffee, freshly baked bread, fruit, etc. Staff was quite friendly and helpful with tips for eating and sightseeing.
If you are a light sleeper, consider bringing earplugs as you will hear sound from the corridor/neighbouring rooms. Nonetheless, this hotel attracts rather calm, respectful guests and the bed is super comfy, so for me (light sleeper) this was not a big deal.

We had one of the garden rooms which was a little on the small side but perfect for accessing breakfast in the morning as well as saying hello to the hotel cats Chimmy and Rocko :-) Loved the breakfast room and quality of the breakfast was great and staff super friendly
Room smelt a little bit damp
