Located on a hill in the heart of Lisbon, Torel Palace Lisbon consists of three buildings in which two of them are traditional 19th-century mansions, surrounded by a garden with a swimming pool. Its suites, terraces, pools and gardens offer stunning and panoramic views over the city center, Tagus River and the São Jorge Castle. Its 33 air-conditioned rooms and suites with private bathrooms are individually and tastefully decorated.. Each includes mini-bar, coffee and tea machine as well as a safe. In addition, Torel Palace Lisbon offers one villa and five totally new apartments. Guests have access to a bar and will be able to enjoy a quality buffet breakfast, with characteristic Portuguese products, fresh orange juice and homemade cakes. The elegant restaurant 2Monkeys by Chef Vitor Matos is part of the hotel and offers a fine dining option awarded with one Michelin star, in 2024. Black Pavilion is a restaurant and a bar. In addition the surrounding area offers a great variety of traditional Portuguese restaurants. At night, guests can visit the lively Bairro Alto 2789 feet away. Torel Palace Lisbon offers a great variety of services which include airport shuttle, babysitting, massages, concierge and daily maid. A complete service for guests’ clothes is available offering dry cleaning, ironing, laundry and shoe shine. The Lavra Funicular, the oldest in Lisbon, is a short walk away. Wonderful
The staff Pedro, Lola, Dwelington, Igor, Nicolas, CeCe and all the rest are A+. The staff in the spa and in Black are also exceptional. The feeling is very one of a kind and boutique. I felt very much taken back in time with modern amenities .

Good
The Pool, the Spa treatments and even the room were perfect, with beautiful views over Lisbon. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, during our short stay.
The view is polluted with cranes for the construction projects in the blocks below. The upstairs room was very noisy, either people were very noisy getting ready to check out at 6 am, or later some maintenance was going on, it disturbed our sleep that night. The room's noise insulation could definitely improve

Wonderful
Staff were friendly and anticipated your every need. The hotel and grounds were stunning. Great views of Lisbon. Good location, 15 walk to the center of town. It was small and felt really luxurious. You could always easily get a bed by the pool. The terrace is beautiful for dining day and night.
Toilet in the bedroom did not have a door so no privacy between a couple. The breakfast was a let down. Hot food was stale and not very warm. Cooked eggs were available but only average. Toaster broke on our first day, and was never replaced.

Disappointing
Charming palace, great views. Friendly staff.
I had room 3 in the pink palace. It faced the cabanas which were brightly lit at night but there were no blinds or shutters on the windows and the drapes were not blackout curtains so the room is lit up like a Hollywood set. See pic at 1pm below. No handsoap in bathroom. Door latch broken.

The views, the size of the room. The attentive staff at the bar and breakfast/restaurant.
Since it is an old building, the is no sound proofing between rooms and the wood floors make it extra noisy.

Good
The hotel and restaurant was wonderful.
I had booked a specific room in the hotel itself, which I chose because of its old world charm with access to cosy seating areas of the actual hotel. Instead we ended up in a modern two bedroom apartment just outside the actual hotel entrance. I was told it was an upgrade and it was nice, but I was disappointed as not the experience I had planned.
