The hotel's location is very central with easy access to shopping, restaurants and nice walks throughout Lisbon. Breakfast was well above expectations with plenty of choices and a la carte included in the B&B price. The restaurant is beautiful, as are the lobby areas. Very nicely decorated overall. After we had made our initial reservation through Booking.com, we had to change our travel dates and as a result, we had to push our stay one day forward. For some reason, we could not do it through Booking.com, but the personnel at Valverde kindly accommodated our request on the phone and added one extra day in our stay. We did not have to switch rooms on our last day, which was also very convenient. The staff in general, were very polite and helpful.
The central location makes it slightly noisy, especially at night- but if one keeps one's windows closed, the noise is reduced significantly. Our rooms were a bit on the small side- but we expected that from the description on Booking.com. The biggest issue was that our AC was out of order, which was dealt with by using cooling towers. This worked to a certain extent, but the hotel offered us a 50% discount because of this inconvenience. Overall, the matter was dealt with- so no issues there.

It was an exceptionally refined and wonderful hotel.
Breakfast in the courtyard transformed each morning into a truly special start to the day in Lisbon.
The staff were kind and offered warm, thoughtful hospitality that felt effortless and genuine.
On the final day, they kindly stored my Rimowa package, which was an immense help.
