A lovely stay. Although room and bathroom was different and slightly smaller than I expected from photos on the room I'd booked, it was very comfortable and good value. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. We had great transport links to everywhere via the Lothian Bus route, with buses stopping right outside the hotel. We would definitely return to A-Haven Townhouse.
The photos for the 'economy double room' mean that we were expecting that we would be in a separate building (which we weren't, we were in the main house) but it was fine.

Staff were lovely and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The room was comfortable and warm despite it being freezing outside. Location was perfect for what we needed, with a space to park the car and the bus stop into the city centre directly across the road. And the breakfast was great.

The staff were all so lovely! Couldn't be more attentive or willing to help. A fab bunch. The room was basic but to a good standard. Close enough for a wander down to the water and only 15 minutes by bus from the busyness of the city.
The decor is a little dated but added to the place. Breakfast was okay but could be improved.

Beautiful Victorian townhouse with lots of character and high ceilings. Staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable, service was second to none. Breakfast was superb. Bed was comfortable. Excellent location with bus stop very close by. On site parking was secure and useful but lots of free parking on adjacent street. We felt we arrived as strangers but left as friends. Would definitely visit again when next in Edinburgh. Thanks for a great stay
