Location was great for public transport and meals and we could leave our car parked at the Townhouse. View from room was great, some people may not like the stairs but it is befitting for the love home.. Lydie is friendly and provides good information to get you on your way.

We enjoyed the room, the great cozy decor of the house, the friendly funny hostess and the nice not-so-touristy neighborhood just outside the center of Edinburgh.
I can't think of anything that could be better. It is good to keep in mind, though, that you have to walk (or take the bus) a bit before you get to the real center of the city.

The room was beautiful, lovely decor and so relaxing. The host was so helpful, keeping us updated with regular emails and on hand via phone/text if we had an queries. The location was great, a little walk to the town centre which was nice. The bed was comfortable. Room was clean with everything we needed.

We really enjoyed staying so close to everything - walking distance to all "tourist stuff" and at the same time a quiet area of Edinburgh.
Nothing was uncomfortable, annoying or other wise reason for a compliant - maybe one though: might be that our stay at Albyn Townhouse was fare too short..;0))

This was a wonderful place to come back to and rest after a full day out exploring the city. Its near two different bus stops so youll be able to get into the center of town pretty quickly. Your host is lovely and super helpful!

It was within walking distance to the castle and some local restaurants.
Our room was on the second (top) floor and in the attic which meant a portion of the ceiling over the bed was sloping so managed to hit my head a couple of times in the dark.
The shower pressure wasnt good.
