Breakfast was one of the best Ive had. Fresh and very tasty.
The rooms were like being in a maze.. We got lost with directions. My advice don't use the lifts as they can be misleading. Got the hang of it on the second day.

Our room was very satisfactory, lots of space and comfy beds. The Brasserie restaurant was the one we used and we were very happy with the meals on both nights.
A personal gripe, I don't like feather pillows. The breakfast was not as hot as it should have been

Lucas in the Pentland restaurant went over and above to make things good.

The setting, the welcome, the sense of quality throughout the building. My room was very comfortable. Signage was clear for moving around the hotel.
The buffet cooked breakfast was disappointing in quality

The hotel overall is lovley staff very friendly and great bus routes to the city
Bath rooms need updating they are very dated ad our fan didn't work but the bedrooms were nice clean and tidy

Lovely sized room and comfortable bed. Leisure facilities were great and setting & grounds were lovely. Breakfast was fantastic and the lounges/cocktail bar were really pleasant areas to spend time relaxing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating doing their utmost to help when we needed to stay an extra night at short notice.
Real fires (or even good fake flame ones)would've put the finishing touches to the lounges which felt traditional and Scottish, but lacked that final bit of cosiness which real fires would've had added. The hotel was a maze and despite signage and a little map it was still tricky to navigate and easy to get lost. It wasn't just us - every other guest seemed to have the same problem! The bathroom was a tiny bit tired in places but very clean.
