Beautiful maintained old building with modern finishes. Very comfortable room and cosy bar
The dinner was not great! My partners half chicken consisted of I boiled chicken breast and a chicken drummer! Over all if you're not ordering a burger I wouldn't bother!

Ideal location for my stay where I visited the RY Britannia and dined at The Kitchin. Late check out was complimentary, but I did have to wait until 4pm for a room when we checked in. A nice bday treat was welcome. Really polite a nice staff but they need more training.
The rooms were tired/dated. Noisy plumbing and floor boards. My bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly I had to ask for remnants of a previous guests shaving to be cleaned. No amenities in the room that I would expect from a 4* incl. slippers, robe, body lotion/conditioner or complimentary still water. I had to ask for the tea station to be filled up as it was empty upon arrival.

Pillows too soft - would appear to be no cover on duvet Preferred when coffee and toast brought to table at breakfast instead of the coffee machine and toaster ti make it yourself

For me the location was very good but it was a pity that there was no side or back exit to the car park. There was a very comfortable chair in my room which was quite spacious. The staff were very helpful and a couple of minor problems were quickly dealt with.
I found the bed quite uncomfortable. It was rather too high for easy access.

We were so fortunate to get a free upgrade when we arrived. Clean nice decor, toiletries towels etc great quality. Great incentive to have reward of voucher in lieu of service too. Super coffee machine! Staff all lovely. Food and drinks great. Cant fault the hotel or the staff at all.
