Exceptional
We stayed only for one night but it was really exceptional.
The castle and its grounds are truly beautiful
We also had dinner at the restaurant and the food was delicious

It was a castle firstly not your usual hotel premier inn travel lodge .. it was a picture too look at and be in almost like you were in history it was great. The view was stunning the staff were great nothing bad on that part overall good experience
The room we got was a little dirty and tight which i cant really complain cause its the feel of the place its an old hotel and i understand its gonna be like this.. the bed was a little uncomfortable but not too bad.. however the main con of the whole place has to just be how far it is from everything including the central.. if you have a car this wouldnt be too bad but for us we just used ubers and this was expensive getting back and fourth but again expected.

Nice big bedroom and huge big comfortable bed, room was very hot so had to close off radiator valves, great size bathroom but decoration looks a bit tiered with water marks etc, reception staff were great and very helpful but bar staff seemed rather inexperienced and very slow, there was on average a 10/15 min wait to be served.

The grounds and location were beautiful, very good value for the price. The room i stayed in was adequate but could do with some tlc as the bathroom was very dated and the mattress was tired and needed replacing. Staff were friendly, and welcoming cleanliness was to a good standard

Wonderful
We stayed a Melville castle as a birthday get away. It’s a lovely castle with lots of character and beautifully renovated. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfy. The grounds of the castle are great for wonder and it’s only 20 minutes outside Edinburgh.
