Nice hotel, great beds and lots of space but shower wasnt the best. Fantastic location, easy walk to the castle, royal mile, grassmarket etc.
Customer service was disappointing. No welcome/smile or "how was your day" at all. From asking for directions, storing luggage or booking a taxi, most staff made us feel like we were an inconvenience.

This property was in a great location for getting around old town Edinburgh. The pool is smaller than it looks in the pictures but is a great addition.
The little extras I’d expect for this hotel were not there, no conditioner in the rooms or dressing gowns. It was all good but expected these sorts of things as this was more premium price.

The pool was great, and my children really enjoyed that.
The bed was a bit hard for my liking, but that's of course, simply a personal preference.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. The food offering was excellent.
The room was a litter small for 4 people and the toilet was separate from the bathroom so no sink in the toilet.

Tidy place in a great location. Staff were very helpful.There is a car park under the building it’s a bit pricey and the spaces are incredibly tight, but it’s really handy.
A few things were broken/ not working properly. For example: elevator button broken, safe in the room was not working/ staff fixed it quickly though/ , USB and normal plugs were barely charging.

Breakfast was good as usual, staff were friendly and helpful, room was comfortable (but no need for a double sofa bed).
Air-con was useless, room was very hot during the day, lifts felt like they were going to fail at any moment. Didn't like the way that lighting in the toilet and lifts was really poor. Is this how we're going to save the planet?

I have just 2 complains We had booked a handicap parking spot, but it was just as narrow as a normal one (and they were very narrow), so it is not possible for a handicapped person to get in or out as the door isn't able to open fully. How you can call it a handicap spot is a mystery... The day we left, the 2 elevator were so occupied, that it took us 20 minutes just to get down to the reception... Oh... almost forgot... a fridge usually means cold... ours was warmer than the room, so absolutely useless... Otherwise a super nice hotel. Beds are very comfortable, standard room size is okay and breakfast is great.

Good location and great staff
Room was okay but not for the price I paid. Had to move furniture to get my daughter who's in a wheelchair in the door. Couldn't swing a cat in the room either. For a family room it's small. Okay I had a standard room but I put in notes that it was a wheelchair user. Could have maybe asked if it was an accessible room we need or anything that they need ready surely. There wasn't options on booking. Leisure facility - Lots of families. Clean and enjoyed sauna. However in the swimming pool/jacuzzi, our eyes were stinging. Maybe too much chlorine? Other families found same. Note changing rooms are tiny so best to get ready in room. Restaurant. Breakfast is delicious but at £18 per adult. Scrambled eggs need improved they were a bit dry and clumped together. One evening sticky chicken I ordered in the Restaurant was way too rich and salty that it spoiled it. I ate it cos I was so hungry but it wasn't great. I was disappointed that I still got fully billed for it. Bill was high for a family of 3, £86 for our evening meal. Wouldn't be so bad had I enjoyed it. Car park - is it worth having, it's very tight to get in with small spaces. None of these comments is the fault of the staff on the floor - they're brilliant. Some improvements from management need made I think to the running of hotel, always room for improvement especially where Quality is concerned, and customer satisfaction. I honestly feel like I've just been to a travel lodge with the small room, and that with the easter hols I've paid way too much for what we got.
