We enjoy our journey in The Dilly, they are very attentif to the family, my nephew loved so much the surprise that the staff prepared for him in the room. Lovely staff hope will come back soon.

Location.
Terrace restaurant tacky. Ground floor bar appalling - service non-existent. A large mouse ran the length of the bar in full view of customers. When reported to staff, they couldn't have been less interested. They also managed to take 25 minutes to serve us a drink at 11.00pm when the place was nearly empty.

Great location, large room with comfy beds and pillows, lovely toiletries, good swimming pool and steam room, great breakfast selection.
Bathroom in need of modernisation, cracked floor tiles and poor shower.

Great location. Well run. Comfortable.
There are two pairs of elevators and one of each pair was out of service. The elevator call buttons operated each pair separately so people would push both to see which elevator would arrive first which added to the problem because an elevator would stop on a floor where the person already got on the other elevator.

Beautiful old hotel with current upgraded amenities. Impressive building architecturally and ample space. The hotel went over and above to communicate prior to arriving; offering opportunities to enhance our visit. Location is superb. Shower is great and very comfortable bed all in a lovely room. To stay at the Dilly in London is fortunate.
As all places there are a few quirks. The floor we stayed on had a large entrance area when stepping out of the lift. Old silk flower arrangements were set which were tatty and reminded one of a faded grandeur.
Curiously, when we ordered a pizza beyond the hotel. The front desk did not phone us when it arrived. The delivery man told them the room number intended for delivery. We phoned the pizza restaurant and they told us front desk would call us ... it did not happen. Customer service in that regard at 11:00 pm was poor.

The whole experience was excellent. Felt very looked after as soon as walked through the door until leaving. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had messaged to say it was a special birthday and this was nicely acknowledged!

the room we given turn out to be very noisy with road works sirens at 1am in the morning, so loud , but the staff moved us to another room on the opposite side, Thank you, but it ruined our sleep, bearing in mind we requested a quite room,

My trip didn’t get off to the best start after I got back from Paris. I arrived in London alone, without my friend who was supposed to join me, due to unforeseen circumstances and by the time I walked into The Dilly, I was exhausted, emotional, and honestly, on the verge of tears. That’s when I met Rebecca.
She noticed right away that I was upset and stepped in with such kindness and calm that I immediately felt a little less alone. Over the course of my six-day stay, Rebecca continued to check in on me, offering warmth, empathy, and genuine care that turned my experience around. I told my husband and friends about her, and we all agreed she needed a new title: Rebecca, the Angel of London.
The hotel itself is beautiful, and the location is absolutely amazing—so central to everything. I was able to walk to every spot I wanted to visit, soaking up the city at my own pace, and only took the tube once the entire trip. It made exploring on my own feel so easy and enjoyable.
While every staff member at The Dilly was gracious, professional, and welcoming, Rebecca’s compassion and attentiveness truly stood out. She helped transform what began as a tough trip into one of the most meaningful and empowering experiences I’ve ever had. Being in London alone ended up being exactly what I needed—and I left with not just great memories, but a deeper sense of self.
I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when I return next year. Thank you, Rebecca, for turning my sadness into strength, and for being a quiet but powerful part of a journey I will never forget.

Enjoyed the warm welcome, easy check in, friendly staff, large room, easy to find way to room, lovely to have fruit and water available etc.
Stains on curtains, ripped curtains, marks on walls, and shower curtains, could hear neighbouring residents at the hotel using toilet and shower facilities, lighting was poor.
