The hotel is a good in a great position. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We were holding an event and this was managed very well.
It is probably due for a bit of freshening up, small parts of the room were a little tired such as the tap in the kitchen area

Staff were excellent, very helpful and very welcoming. Rooms were lovely and spacious. Really enjoyed our stay, will definitely return next time Im in town.
The area isnt amazing but the tube station is only a short walk which is handy

Amazing hotel. If you need to stay in this area then you must stay here! The room was huge and everything was finished very well. The standards were excellent and we had privacy and comfort for our entire stay. I would have enjoyed staying even longer! Really enjoyed all aspects of this hotel. It is a 5* hotel and I think exceptionally good value for money.
I enjoyed all of it. The location is very specific to the area. So I wouldn't stay here if I needed to be central. But for where I needed to be, it was perfect!

Reception area is beautiful, spacious and staff friendly. Breakfast was nice. Very white and fluffy towels. Fridge in room was helpful along with the two bottles of water.
The room was a huge let down - think Edwardian meets IKEA! To start, the mattress was basically on a plinth of wood which was not comfortable and far too low. The chairs too were very low. There was no bedside table, had to put glass, phone, book, glasses etc on the floor. The light switches (of which there were numerous) seemed to work intermittently. Behind the bed was a large white block of melamine type plastic and behind that a counter top which was quite worn and the drawer did not shut unless you pushed the chair against it. The bathroom! Well to start with it had a full glass door! Not to go into too much detail but there was no privacy when you were on the loo! The extractor fan did not work. The shower area was small and I whacked my elbows a few times. The shower curtain did not go all the way down so by the time we had both showered, not only was the floor wet, but the toilet bowl and the toilet roll! Soundproofing is not great as you can hear air con units being used in other rooms. It was such a shame as it held such promise when we arrived outside out room door - a double wooden door off a huge decorative landing then on opening the door we stood there and just sighed! It could have been a beautiful room but its been spoiled with all the cheap touches (they say modern but its just badly done). Although there is a kettle and a coffee machine, they only left two tea bags and two coffee pods, four little milk sachets. I appreciate we could have gone to reception for more but when youve just got in from a long day you dont really feel like walking back to reception to ask for a tea bag. We paid for our stay via booking.com but as we checked out, the receptionist told us there was an additional charge of about 11. When I queried this she said it was a gratuity for staff! I declined to pay it - dont get caught out by this - check your invoice!

Very nice building and rooms
The hotel hosted really loud weddings that go on until midnight. Really bad. Moving rooms didnt really help as the wedding takes over the hotel. They also slide an invoice under your door on your last day for a service charge which is optional to pay. Really not a nice vibe and something that should be made clear when booking.

The location is ideal for anyone visiting friends in Hackney. Its easy to walk to Broadway Market, Victoria Park, Shoreditch
This felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel in terms of assistance and services. We had some very confusing interactions with the staff, the air conditioning wasnt working, outlets were broken in our friends room, etc.

Rooms are a good size. En-suite very modern. Kitchenette with fridge and dishwasher is a nice touch. Stylish decor, comfy bed.
We had a lower ground floor room which meant we looked out on a brick wall. However, it was very quiet we didnt hear anything.

very nice hotel, beautiful lobby and very nicely decorated. the rooms are spacious however in need of a renovation. Bed were very small (140cm) even though the room description shows extra large double bed. the decor of the rooms does not match the decor of the hotel.. its like they got confused with what decade they were going for.
the staff was not very noticable. when we first arrived we were barely greeted. there is nobody to help you with your luggage. this is not a 5 star hotel.. 4 at best. in general the reception was often empty and thruout the hotel staff wasnt noticable. Attemtion to detail in the rooms was lacking.. towels and robes missing. TV is in an awkward space. Closets and Kitchen fronts were broken or did not shut properly.
check out was a lot nicer.

cleanliness was ok & the reception smelt nice- other than that this hotel was not good.
first room offered was in basement- dark, broken lights etc, complained and got moved to ground floor- room was as pictured but noisy and over looked bins and service entrance so very noisy at 6 am everyday. pool was cold and very small, became unusable with 5 people. no hotel bar. Kettle in room was broken. Mugs are cheap basic & horrible. This is not a 5 star hotel as advertised.
