The top of my list for lodging in San Francisco is a quiet room. That means no balcony, no view and I am okay with that. Castle Inn's location worked well for me and I slept sweetly, with no traffic noise.

The location is tops! Everything was clean and comfortable and for the area reasonably priced. We loved the fact that it had free parking, though its better for smaller cars.
Our only complaint was the WiFi. Its free but it is not strong or consistent. We could not stream videos on our computers or phones.

Furniture needs urgent and serious update, carpet especially.
It was not possible to switch off the air conditioner.
Faucet was loosely screwed and it seemed about to break.

The check in staff member was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. Have never met a more accommodating hotel. Really enjoyed the location as well.

Staff were VERY nice. This included Emily in the reception and the cleaning crew.
Rooms to the street are bright but noisy. Rooms facing inwards are dark but allows for a better sleep.
Beds too soft for my taste.

Everything was great, super comfy bed, mini fridge in the room with coffee maker, etc

The room was clean, bed was very comfortable, the bathroom and shower were nice. The microwave/fridge was a nice touch. Location is great, safe and close to everything you need.
The reception team was very helpful with tips, places to go, places to avoid, etc
We were able to store our luggage upon checkout for several hours due to our late night flight.
We would definitely stay here again when in SF!!!
