Couldn't sleep at all. The AC unit is so old that it makes noises constantly throughout the night. Terrible.

The property is at a great location in a safe and convenient neighbourhood. The free parking is a huge plus!

Wonderful
This was our second recent stay at Castle Inn. The room was sparkly clean and very well laid out. It has many fine and thoughtful features like good storage, very comfortable bed, handsome table and ottoman, well-positioned cable TV, and solid wifi. The desk clerk is very affable and accommodating.
Liked everything about our stay.

The location was perfect for us. The staff were very helpful and courteous. Everything in our room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable.
The heating/cooling system was right next to one bed so the fan was rather noisy.

Location. Walking distance to breakfast & dinner restaurants, Walgreens & a local grocery store.
Staff not very friendly on initial contact. Room door had to be slammed shut, also had a large opening at the bottom of the door. Light & insects could come in. Mattress had no support at all on one end(probably never turned). My husband turned it on the 3rd night, it helped slightly but a new mattress is definitely needed in room 228. On our last night someone tried to open our door, my husband opened it & a male tried to pretend he was smoking by our room. I watched him walk to the stairs and leave; he was not staying on our floor. There are not enough parking spaces for each room/ each guest. The office staff (1 person) is not available after 10pm so hope you don't need help at night. Air conditioner leaked, causing black marks on the rug, possibly mold. I took pictures of the light under the door when it was closed & the rug but unfortunately they were deleted accidentally.

Great value for our weekend stay. Damian was great and accommodating. Great parking at the property included with our room. Good location to walk around. We will come back.
One little detail, the bed was on the soft side and we're used to firmer at home.

Location was awesome. Very close to a lot of restaurants. Safe neighborhoods. Walkable to the fisherman's wharf. Having parking onsite is a huge plus.
You can hear everything from the other side of the connecting room. At least the people next door seemed to have a good time, but it was too loud for us in the middle of the night, it woke all of us up. Other people were talking outside of the room in the hallway at late night and you can hear them as well. You would need ear plugs depending on your neighbors..

The location was excellent. I had requested the top floor, but unfortunately, we were given a room on the second floor. However, it was away from the road and there was no noise from upstairs, so we were happy with that.
The only other issue was that the bathroom felt a bit small for my husband.
Overall, it was a very good stay, but the service at check-in was not very pleasant. Also, it was disappointing to find insects in the room.

It was quiet. Good parking. Easy walking to numerous dining spots and a cool bookstore! Management worked with me to check in a day early due to family emergency.
