Great hotel, a little less fancy as in the pictures. The breakfast was great and included. That is the major perk of this hotel
Next time I would start right at the bay. Union square itself is just a bit lifeless

The staff were top notch! Excellent service. Mr. Caesar and Martin were phenomenal at their job, they made us feel comfortable, very welcoming and made sure we had a great stay and we definitely had an amazing experience. From check -in to check- out was a breeze, they accommodated us with our needs esp my mom who’s elderly. Tuan the bellman was exceptional as well, very helpful and always with a smile. The hotel was very clean, well maintained. We had the best view . It was perfect.

The staff are exceptional, very kind and thoughtful. In particular Tuan and Chris at the front desk. They make sure you feel comfortable as soon as you arrive. The bed was very comfy and the facilities were good quality - including a fully equipped gym (albeit small, it has everything you need). The hotel restaurant and bar provide exceptional food. The location is very central.
There was nothing that I did not like about my stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only thing I would mention is that the hotel is located near the Tenderloin neighbourhood, which is known for its homeless community and drug abuse problems. This should not be a reason to not visit the city, as San Francisco is great. It's just something to be aware of so you don't have any nasty surprises before you get there.

Wonderful front office lady Sasha, so polite and efficient, so are all gentleman.What a first impression ! excellent location, in the center of San Francisco, 2 minutes walk to the tram line and union square. 20 min walk to Embarcadero and ferry terminal. Wonderful bright room. The hotel building is very beautiful too.The hotel restaurant is excellent, food fresh and delicious. The breakfast is wonderful too. Do not miss the avocado with poached eggs. Coffee offered always available at the lobby . Overall an excellent stay!!
The room where the breakfast is served is small, dark and depressing at the back side of the hotel. So, it was a beautiful sunny day, but we were forced to eat our breakfast in this depressing space. . There was a sliding door that opened to a nice big room, the breakfast people refused to open it, and did not allow us to sit there although there was nobody, it was adjacent, literally 3 meters away. The breakfast people not very happy either. It was like we were punished for something, it was a big contrast with all the other wonderful hotel areas,so was the behaviour of the people serving there. They obviously wanted us to finish and go away.

The breakfast was the star. Delicious food, super friendly staff. Very nice way to start the day. The staff all around at the hotel are very very nice and helpful.
lighting in room, especially bathroom made it feel very dated, the layout of the bathroom was not great.

Beautiful big room, beautiful building, excellent location, very polite and helpful front desk gentlemen, ready to give tips and information . Champagne on arrival, very good quality breakfast options. My avocado and eggs were excellent.Dinner was excellent too. My tuna ceviche beautifully presented and so tasty the same for avocado guacamole and burrata . Overall an excellent choice for a really nice stay.
