hotel facilities were nice
While the hotel facilities were nice, my experience was overshadowed by a pricing issue. I booked through Booking.com, and the rate changed unexpectedly at check-in. The hotel claimed they had given that rate to Booking, and that I should have read the conditions on the hotel’s own website. This lack of coordination is not acceptable—the guest should not be the one sorting out discrepancies. Hidden amenity fees were also added without clear prior notice. Overall, a disappointing end to what could have been a pleasant stay.

The location is good.
The room stank of smoke and was just quite grotty (marks on the walls, air conditioning full of dust and grime). The room was really stuffy and the windows didn’t open, it was nowhere near as nice as the photos suggest.

Right on the Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39. Check-in process was disappointing as staff was rude and didn’t communicate. Rooms and corridors smelt funny. Restaurant onsite was really expensive and below average quality food. Great common areas for family with games and fire pit.

Location is fantastic- front door one block from the wharf. Good parking but expensive$65/night. Pillows were very firm. Room on the small side but comfortable. Restaurant off the lobby convenient but nothing special.

Hotel location is in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf action. Walk to pier 39, visit Boudin's store (sour dough bread fame, yummy!), get your souvenirs, catch the cable car, bay cruise, or the hop on/off bus. Hotel parking adjacent to the entrance ($64 +tax per nite). King size bed standard room was small but comfortable. Entry door width rather small. Mattress comfortable, small fridge, Keurig coffee machine, and I had a magnetic dart board on my room wall. Spacious inner courtyard nicely appointed with art work, nite time fire pits for marshmallow roasting, games outside and also, indoor game room. Quirky decor utilizing pieces of shipping container and a nautical theme.
Only 1 elevator of 2 was functioning. Inconvenient for the number of rooms there.

Most of the staff were exceptional and kind. Parking on site was good but very expensive. The smores, fire pits, games area, and location were fantastic!! Kids loved it and we did too. No kettle, but the front desk said there was hot water at reception. Filtered water everywhere was handy and appreciated. Good sea concept. Comfy beds. The mural was funky.
The lady who checked us in wasn't very kind - especially seeing as we'd travelled nearly 20 hours to get there and it was after 9.30pm. Parking was expensive, and we ended up parking somewhere else close by for a third of the price. Our window didn't open and though we were offered a balcony upgrade, it was while we were mid-flight, and we didn't see it until after check-in, and the front desk didn't mention it. The room was a bit dated and did not match the fun, colour or size of the website. The leg of the bed stuck out, and we kept kicking our toes on it. The hallway lights also stuck out and we ran into them twice. We sound like the clumsiess family, but surely it's not just us! The shower water sometimes didn't get hot.
