Very Poor
I did not get to check in no one ever came to the door after standing outside in the rain and ringing the door bell and knocking on the door constantly. The company did give a refund but it was never explained why we were unable to check in only that “something happened” and one one was at the front desk last night which is unacceptable. Besides the refund hotel did not seem to concern about my issue and weren’t really apologetic. This would have been my second time staying here if I would have got to check in but I will not be going back I had to book another hotel at 4am thankfully someone had a room open after having to search for almost 30 mins and booking.com customer service was no help at all

Exceptional
The history of the hotel Brexton is amazing. The engaging original spiral staircase leading from lobby to top 6th beautiful. In addition the staircase case be seen through the large front bay windows from outside of hotel. The decor inside room is eclectic at best with modern feeling. the deep glass bowl sink in bathroom a and the enclosed all glass shower and square satellite shaped shower head very inviting and give a relaxing shower experience

the room was very nice and quaint.
the outlet for the blow dryer did not work in the bathroom and was never fixed. Parking is difficult - the hotel only has 4 parking spots on the street outside the hotel and a small alley with 3 other spots. Otherwise, metered street parking. Was told there's a free lot across the street but they didn't know what time the "free" spots started. I stay in Baltimore a lot, this neighborhood is not great. there really is no breakfast at the hotel. cake cut up on a plate.

Terrible experience! No front desk staff on duty, no answer to the phone, no response through booking, no reaction to knocking or ringing the doorbell. The communication attitude was extremely bad and there was racial discrimination!

The hotel itself was very nice. Rooms were large.
We had to switch rooms because the shower in the first room was dirty. There was a point where there was no one at the front desk for hours. Breakfast was a granola bar. Parking was very limited and if you can't parallel park you're out of luck.

It was in walking distance of the theater where we were seeing a show. The renovation tried to maintain historical details.
Whole place falling apart. Door was off the bathroom vanity, just leaning against wall. In shower, rack of pump bottles was off the wall, sitting on shelf, body wash was empty, hook for the handheld sprayer also gone. Painting was missing from bedroom wall. No one did anything about the vomit on the entrance stairs in the morning. None of these, individually, mattered much. But the fact that we were assigned this room indicates that other rooms are in even worse shape than this.

Terrible experience. Room was not clean, with used towels and sleepwear left from the previous guest. Shower was filthy and broken. Staff did not seem to care and just brushed it away as issues with the cleaners. Same when raising it with management the next day

Parking space in front of hotel, quiet, close to n.charles st restaurants, decent neighborhood. Bed was comfortable-clean.
No towels were available! Wanted til after 9 pm to go downstairs again to ask if I was getting towels for shower..got a maybe. Got my own personal towels from the beach to use. TV didn't work. Wouldn't connect to network. Not guest friendly breakfast..don't offer anything..the coffee machine wasn't functioning tight..staff at lobby was very nice but seemed overwhelmed.

Okay, overall stay, I would say stay the hell away from this hotel. I have stayed in many hotels during my travel days and had thought I seen and stayed in it all. This establishment is by far the worst. Floor is dirty with stickiness. Room is full of damage with some visible wear and tear. Mattress was comfortable but not the best. Sheets were dirty and looked it was used heavily. We had to use the towels to put on top of them to sleep. Bathroom was also a dumpster fire. Hair from every part of the body was everywhere on the floor. There is No working fan in the bathroom. See pics below.. I would never stay in the hotel.. and breakfast included is absolutely a joke. I will be reaching out to bookings.com for hotels false advertisement.
