Truly felt like an upscale hotel and the central location was perfect. We enjoyed the happy hour in the bar and appreciated the complimentary airport shuttle.
The gal who checked us in did not reflect the standards of the hotel.. We arrived early and she said she would text us when our room was ready, but didn't so when we finally returned to the hotel and found out the room was ready and waiting we were a little miffed as had been constantly checking for a text message which never arrived and we didn't even get an apology. She then failed to tell us all the amenities the hotel offered, so those I learned about by overhearing the other receptionist telling another couple checking in the same time as us. She also incorrectly booked airport transportation for us... fortunately I double checked the day we were leaving and the transportation was down as picking us up from the airport instead of taking us to the airport! The first impression should always be excellent and the hotel failed in that regard on this occasion due to the incompetent receptionist. Our shower leaked, soaking the bath mat but other than that the room was very nice and very comfortable.

The location suited our travel plans as it was close to the Amtrak depot in Whitefish. It was also close to the centre of town with good shops and restaurants. We found the roof patio a great idea.
