Location is ok - easy access to rt 206 and NJ Turnpike. It is a motel, nothing extraordinary to be expected really, but I stayed in better ones and for less. Room has TV, MW, and mini-fridge, but no clock or coffee maker or hair-dryer. I am not a trucker, but trucks can park there, which is a plus for them.
Non smoking room has actually smelled of smoke a lot. Shabby walls, decor, everything. Relatively clean, but needs renovation badly. No coffee maker in the room, no coffee or anything at reception. It is not attended even at 7.30 am

Didnt know breakfast was offered. Beds were comfortable.
We had to flush the toilets by hand even after I told them it was broken, too many little black bugs.

It's a Drug , bug infested hotel. Wouldn't recommend to my enemy. I didn't like nothing about it. Infact my guess ask me to drop her off back home. Didn't even score that night

The couch in the room was nasty and stained. I booked 2 double beds and all they had was a one bed with the nasty pull out couch. There was a door that led to to who knows where behind the couch. The area was kind of scary. We did not stay here.

Scottish Inn is perfectly imperfect. It is better than many other motels. Believe me. It is better than Rodeway Inn big time. It is better than everything that this world is going through. I slept like a goddess Athena and enjoyed my wine. I loved the scent of cigarettes and the marijuana left behind. I liked the flooring. I liked that the old little shower was iron hot. The housekeepers done a very great job cleaning. I am not lying. I will remind myself to leave a fat tip for them next time. I have a very sensitive nose like a dog. I work too much and too hard. It felt like an apartment. I am grateful and it has been a privilege. I liked that the TV never could work or I dont even have a clue on how to turn any of it on but I have managed to get one channel of Univision and I felt my Latina pride and left on time before checkout very hungry for authentic Indian food so I ended up at McDonalds very far away.
I didnt like the blanket and it is because I used to work as a housekeeper many many years ago for two motels so I know stuff. I was exhausted working 12 hour shifts nonstop and I accidentally landed my face on the blanket and forgotten to to remove it. The blanket reeked of coochie, punani and cullarte so many times fold that I had to wash my face 20x fold in the iron hot poor shower that I have actually enjoyed my stay. *LMASSoFF* The toilet wouldnt flush and might need a new part for the water to flush but it flushed very slowly. The a/c needs a new filter or to be renewed. It smelled like body odor. I didnt like roaches but they were baby roaches. The only way to end them is everything from, bombs, Raid, Bleach and Lavender. Ive been through much worse. I hope that Scottish Inn improves and flourishes.
