Rate.
Hotel was dark and had a strange smell. Pool area was extremely noisy due to the waterfall and hot tub running nonstop. Water in hot tub was dark. Hotel c needs to be updated.

Standard La Quinta hotel, close to DFW airport. We used the free shuttle bus to get from/to the airport.
Noisy a.c. there seemed to be only 1 elevator, but luckily the hotel wasn't busy.

They had a free airport shuttle.
The man at the front desk was sound asleep when we came to check out and get our shuttle. It took quite some doing to wake him up. They literally crammed us into the shuttle and 1 person sat in the way back with our luggage.

I did not care for the automatic light at the front of the room. I couldn't use the restroom in the night without the light turning on, and it bothered my friend who was trying to sleep.

Bed was a bit high off the ground (I'm short) but once I got on the best it was comfy and I appreciated that there were different levels of softness for the pillows. The location wasn't too bad, there isn't much to do or eat in the area but it wasn't difficult to drive there and traffic wasn't bad either. Breakfast options weren't vast but it was appreciated that it was free. The coffee was good, eating area was small but acceptable.
Seemed to only have one elevator and it was very slow, took the stairs a couple of times. There was no USB adaptors on lamps or outlets so I couldn't charge my phone. I had to go out and buy an adapter. There was one lamp that you could wireless charge your phone but I guess my phone was not compatible (Android Samsung) so it wouldn't charge. Also, it seemed like you needed to keep the lamp 'ON' for the phone to charge, my daughter left her iPhone on the charging station all night and it didn't charge it. Lastly, make a mental note to asking the front desk attendant which credit card is being used to pay for the room. When I booked the room I used my debit card but prior to the trip I changed the method of payment to a different card through Booking.com that apparently did not update in the hotels system. What ended up happening was upon giving the attendant my name she charged the room to the card and did not ask for a physical card. It was only when I ask if she needed to see my card that she said she already had it in the system, I then asked if I could see what card she used and noticed it was the wrong one. This resulted in me having a negative pending payment, I was able to use a different credit card which was charged right away but I still had the pending payment through the weekend which cleared up Monday night.

The shuttle bus from the airport took forever to get there, called twice, was told he should be there. The shuttle itself was in poor condition, no shocks and sounded like it was going to rattle apart. Air conditioner in room was the same way, came on and rattled so hard, thought it was going to blowup. Good thing was a short layover. Parts of hotel needs to be renovated, torn carpet, etc.

The shuttle service we were told was available was not available that night, extra 1+ hr. wait at airport. No one at counter another wait for 30 min. Had to call to wake up person. No one at desk in morning either.

Location is near airport. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable.
The taxi ride from airport cost $50. The business offers shuttle service 24/7 but will not send a shuttle after 10:00 pm. To take shuttle to the airport, it only leaves at the top of the hour. I was not told this. In fact. I was told to let the front desk known when I was ready for the shuttle and it would take about 10 minutes to arrive. The shuttle driver told me they only leave at the top of the hour. This was at 8:05 am. Finally, even though I showed my confirmation email with a price of $94, I was charged $134. A $40 increase in cost for room plus $50 for an unexpected taxi ride. I asked about a refund for the taxi and was told I should have taken an Uber for $25. The shower only had cild water. No hot. Beware of booking here! Find somewhere else.

The room was spacious, clean, and up to speed as far as being remodeled or up to date. The shuttle service was a huge help to us as we got in late and had to leave early the next morning. And the continental breakfast was great too!!
I think the price was still a bit high for the age of the facility. There are parts of the building that could use updating, though I thought that the rooms were modern. I also had to wait a long time before they refilled the eggs on the Continental breakfast.

Pickup was within 20 minutes of my call to them after a late plane that arrived after midnight. Explanation of where to wait and what the pickup vehicle looked like was accurate. The establishment was a bit old but the beds were comfortable and everything worked. Check in was rapid. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, toasted bagel with cream cheese, cereal with cold milk, etc. (no waffles) and was above average. All in all a good stay and good value.
